“… if you are looking for funny, corny, crazy knock-knock jokes this is the book for you!” states Whee Winn in the introduction of the children’s book, Lots of Knock-Knock Jokes for Kids.
~ What ~
This one-hundred-and-twenty-eight-page paperback targets children ages five to ten years old who enjoy silly and funny jokes, especially if they are the traditional “knock-knock” ones. With no profanity or adult situations, over two-hundred-and-fifty jokes are included. The New International Version of the Holy Bible is used.
Every kid and adult love jokes, even the typical “knock-knock” ones that produce groans, snorts, eye-rolling, and laughing out loud. This pocket-sized book has the jokes divided into six sections involving names, places, holidays, foods, animals, and objects. Also included are over twenty pages of bonus jokes and riddles.
~ Why ~
Since I volunteer at a retirement home, I like keeping the elderly entertained with a clean joke or two every week. It seems jokes aimed at children are well received without offending anyone.
Here are examples of a joke from each chapter:
Knock, knock. Who’s there:
~ Dewey. Dewey who? Dewey have to keep telling silly jokes?
~ Heaven. Heaven who? Heaven seen you in a while.
~ Abby. Abby who? Abby birthday to you!
~ Butter. Butter who? It’s butter if you don’t know.
~ Goat. Goat who? Goat to the door and find out!
~ A broken pencil. A broken pencil who? Never mind. It’s pointless!
~ Why Not ~
Yes, some of these jokes are pretty lame. However innocuous they are, the silliness will bring joy to some children and adults.
~ Who ~
No information is provided on the author or the illustrator of the fun little creatures spread throughout the book’s pages.
~ Wish ~
With everything being so serious for young ones (and adults) these days, more books about jokes, riddles, and laughing for all ages would be appreciated.
~ Want ~
If you are looking for a quick reference book of “knock-knock” jokes geared toward kids but apropos for adults, this is a keeper.
