~ What ~
This twenty-four-page board book with rounded corners targets newborns to children three years old. With no scary scenes, it focuses on remembering someone who loves the young one although they cannot be nearby. Expressive and charming full-color illustrations by Mackenzie Haley grace the pages with an easy-to-read font size.

After a to and from page to fill out, the tale is about a person who cannot be present with the one reading the book so thinks of creative ways to show their love. The four lines per open pages rhyme and include scenes involving cellphone calls when on a walk, sending a letter, writing a message in the sky, giving a note to a dolphin to pass on, shouting on a mountain top, putting a flag on the moon, getting a dinosaur hug, having a pizza with wording, blowing gigantic bubbles, and wishing upon a star. All reinstate how love lasts and does not disappear.

~Why ~
Since we have not seen our eighteen-month granddaughter in over sixteen months due to Covid, this is a timely and needed gift book to give to her when we visit in a couple of weeks. I love the colorful pictures with lots of engaging designs. The idea of having a book to show her that her grandparents love her is ideal.

~ Why Not ~
Those who do not have loved ones who do not live far away may not have any interest in this book. Others may find the two and three-syllable words too hard for beginner readers, but it is geared for younger ones who would have the book read to them.

If you are looking for a charming book for grandparents to give to their out-of-state grandchildren who are toddler age, this is a keeper that will melt your heart.
