Best Choice Remote Control T-Rex

dinosaur1What ~
Made of non-toxic ABS plastic, this brown and dark gray Tyrannosaurus Rex dinosaur can walk, roar, shake its head, and has its eyes light up. Its measurements are 19 inches tall, 4 inches wide, and 10.5 inches long and weighs 1.55 pounds. Already coming with three AA batteries in its tail section, three AA batteries are needed for its remote. It is geared for children three years or older.

~ Why ~
Having a precocious three-year-old granddaughter, she is starting to appreciate the zoo and has learned about dinosaurs. I like how large this toy is, and the movement of its head as it roars when pressing one of the buttons on the remote control. The other button makes the two feet step about a half inch forward. Its two arms can be adjusted, but its tail does not move.

~ Why Not ~dinosaur2
Some may not like the loud sounds a dinosaur makes. Little ones may be afraid of the red mouth with sharp-looking teeth as well as the roaring sound. Removing the toy from the box it comes in requires a tiny Phillips head screwdriver to release the dinosaur and remote from the back of the box. The tail has to be connected, and it is a little tricky to push the wires far inside.

~ Wish ~
Since the T-Rex comes already with the three batteries so it can light up and make sounds, it would be nice to include the three batteries for the additional remote control. Having a volume knob may be a nicely added feature for parents who grow weary from the loud roars. I wish a screwdriver were not needed to access the toys from the box, but they are tightly secured.

~ Want ~
If you are looking a semi-real looking dinosaur that moves, roars, and lights up, this is a viable option for any child over three years old.
