Best Choice Products Child Storage Bin

kiddie-shelf5-SECTION CUBBIE STORAGE UNIT

~ What ~
Made of medium density fiberboard and weighing almost forty-four pounds, this long storage bin is made for toddlers to young children. With five separated sections, it measures four feet long, two feet high and thirteen inches deep. There are two twelve-by-twenty-three inch areas on the top section and three twelve-by-fifteen-by-ten inch holders on the bottom. Five hidden casters allow it to be moved easily. It states online it arrives fully assembled, but it is not at all. Using a Phillips head screwdriver, it had several missing pieces.

~ Why ~
Our young granddaughter needs a place to store her books, toys, and stuffed animals, and this piece of furniture is the right height for her to participate in cleaning her room. I like the open areas and the two different sizes. It is sturdy and well built except for the back two panels which are lighter particle board.

~ Why Not ~
Some may not like the light brown color of the bin, but it can be painted. Others may wish it was made of real wood, but for the low price, it is acceptable. Having drawers would be nice, but slide out boxes could fit nicely in each section instead. I expected it to be fully assembled and frustrated to find two screws and four lug nuts missing but used glue to seal sections, so it works adequately.

~ Wish ~
I wish the online description were accurate as it is not assembled. Enclosing all the proper accessories is a must so have downgraded the review due to the missing parts.

~ Want ~
If you are looking an inexpensive storage unit for a child’s room to keep things organized and in their place, this would be a viable choice if you are prepared to assemble it. It took me over an hour as I had to alter the assembling.

Thanks to Best Choice Products for this sample that I am freely evaluating.
