“The God who loves you forgives you when you ask Him to. He washes you clean and gives you a fresh start,” the chapter on I John discusses in Jennifer Rothschild’s book, 66 Ways God Loves You: Experience God’s Love for You in Every Book of the Bible.

~ What ~
This two-hundred-and-eight page small hardbound targets mainly females who are looking for a correlation of each book in the Bible to God’s love. Covering three pages each of all Biblical books, there is a colorful floral page with a title referencing the book of the Bible followed by two pages of writing regarding the book. From Genesis to Revelation, the focus is how much God loves us.

~ Why ~
For those who have not read through the Bible, this is a petite version of one story or topic taken from each book of the Bible and how it can be applied to daily living. I like that there is a paragraph about the Bible book’s content with a written out verse or two followed by personally honing into everyday life. Whether God is conveyed in Ruth as our Kinsman/Redeemer, we are pursued by Him like Hosea’s wife, or He calms our storms in Mark, He is always there for us, loving us each step of the way.

~ Why Not ~
Since the book is flowery and feminine in design, it does not target men, only women. Some may prefer a different selection of the book’s topic than the one chosen (example: the chosen Daniel’s three friends in the fire instead of him being in the lions’ den).

~ Who ~
Having written over a dozen books, Rothschild has been blind since her teens. Living in Missouri with her family, she also has been on television and is a speaker and founder of the women’s ministry, Fresh Grounded Faith.

~ Wish ~
I wish this book were also done in a masculine format to give to men as a daily devotional.

~ Want ~
If you are looking for a women’s book that focuses on God’s love throughout each book in the Bible, this would be an excellent choice as a gift or for yourself.
