Brain Freeze

Brain Freeze JournalTitle: Brain Freeze
Publisher: Clarkson Potter
ISBN: 978-0-553-45962-3

~ What ~
This 368-page paperback targets those who enjoy writing in diaries or journals. With the dimensions of approximately 4-by-6-by-1.25 inches, it has a padded chocolate-colored cover with small round indents, and brown, white, and pink printed sides so it looks like a Neapolitan ice cream sandwich.

To be used for writing, each white page inside has seven brown colored lines to write on at the top of the page, a blank area in the middle, and seven pink lines at the bottom.

~Why ~
I love the cute concept of this book looking like an ice cream sandwich. Being small enough to put on a nightstand or carry in a purse, briefcase, or backpack, it is easy to use as it opens completely flat when in use.

~ Why Not ~
With the binding not being covered, the book may separate with repeated use. Some may not like that there is no spine cover. Others may not be into writing their thoughts down on paper.

~ Who ~
Clarkson Potter specializes design, health, humor, stationery, and other gift books and paper products.

~ Wish ~
This is a charming journal although it has an awkward binding. I wish there were more types of ice cream or other food-designed blank books available.

~ Want ~
If you are looking for a fun journal, this is a thoughtful option. It would make a special gift for the person who loves Neapolitan ice cream sandwiches.
