~ What ~
At twenty-four pages, this cut-out board book with gold and red glittered embossments targets children ages three to seven years old. With no scary scenes, its rhyming format is meant to be read at bedtime or nap time. Beautiful and fanciful pictures of bunnies grace the pages, following the storyline.

With the theme of a parent rabbit and a baby bunny, the tale begins with getting ready for bedtime. As the two discuss the stars above and the expectations of tomorrow’s new adventures, being with friends, playing outside, and smelling the flowers, it also recalls nap time, sunset, rest, and praying, ending with the bunny being tucked in bed and told it is loved.

~Why ~
While the parent or adult reads out loud to the child who is tucked in bed, the young one can look at “Winnie-the-Pooh” styled illustrations that are detailed and colorful. I like that each opened two-pages includes the words, “Good Night, Little Love.”

~ Why Not ~
Due to some two- and three-syllable words, it should be read out loud to beginner readers. Some of the more complicated words such as adventures, mirrored, bouquets, and intertwined may need to be explained to young ones. Only one page mentions God and praying to Him.

~ Who ~
There is no information given regarding the author or illustrator of this book.

~ Wish ~
With it all being in rhyme, it may be hard for some young ones to understand it is a story about thinking about tomorrow and love. I wish the words were a little easier to comprehend for young ones. It would be thoughtful to note biographies on the author and illustrator.

~ Want ~
If you are looking for a calm, quiet book to read to a young child about going peacefully off sleep while thinking about tomorrow, this one that focuses on bunnies would be welcomed.
